Sustainability
25-27 Sustainability Plan
At Mutua Universal, we integrate sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) guidelines into all the organisation’s activities across the board through a specific sustainability action plan.
In 2025, Mutua Universal launched its sixth Sustainability Plan, “Accelerating our positive impact +”. This three-year plan has been drawn up taking into account the material issues for the various stakeholders with whom the organisation engages, and aims to deliver positive impacts on the health of the planet, the health of people and society, and the health of the organisation itself.
Strategic sustainability priorities
Under each of these strategic priorities, Mutua Universal has identified a series of projects that will help the organisation to accelerate its positive impact:
Materiality analysis
The double materiality analysis examines sustainability issues taking into account:
Impact materiality
- This analysis examines and assesses the issues that have a significant impact on the company’s ability to contribute to sustainable development and its relationship with its stakeholders. These issues include environmental, social and corporate governance aspects, and refer to those that originate within the organisation itself and have the potential to have a positive or negative impact on its external environment.
Financial materiality
- This analysis examines and assesses the issues that have a significant impact on the organisation’s financial position and decision-making, specifically those arising from the organisation’s external environment which have a financial impact within it. These impacts can be regarded as risks or opportunities for the organisation itself.
Results of the double materiality analysis
By combining an analysis of Mutua Universal’s impact on society and the environment with an analysis of its financial impact, the material aspects described below have emerged. These will help shape Mutua Universal’s CSR strategy and its annual sustainability report over the coming years.
Dialogue and Engagement with Stakeholders
Mutua Universal has set up specific communication channels to address the needs and expectations of its diverse stakeholders.
